Mailing List Maintenance - MLM

A.    Add/Change/Delete Mailing List Names

• When entering the customer’s name, be sure to enter the last name, comma, and then the first name.  Labels for customers will print first name then last name.  To add a name that is a Jr., put in the last name, space, Jr., comma, and then the first name.

Mailing List Labels, Masterfile, & ASCII File - MLP

Use the MLP program to print Mailing List Labels, Masterfile Report, ASCII File, or Excel formats.

Mailing List - POS

1. Link Mailing List with Point of Sale

• You may select whether to ask for the telephone number before or after the sale by going to SYS, Config File, Change Misc. Configurations, number 4017.
• Enter a "B" to ask for telephone number before the sale.
• Enter an "A" to ask for telephone number after the sale.
• If this line is left blank, the mail list will not be connected to the Point of Sale.
• You may default the area code by entering the code for your area on SYS Config File, Change Misc. Configurations, number 5001.  This default can be overwritten with another area code when necessary.

Video Maintenance - VIM

A.    Add/Change/Delete Videos to Rent

Number and enter your video rental inventory, using the VIM program, "Add Entry" option.

Video Masterfile & Labels - VIP

Use the VIP program to print the following:

• Video Masterfile List.
• Delinquent listing of overdue videos.
• Labels for videotapes.

Video History Roll - BVH

Clear Current Rental

• To clear current rentals, run the BVH program.  This program clears the current rentals on the video maintenance masterfile.  The total rentals and total fees are not changed.

• This program may be run quarterly or whenever you choose.
