I. OBJECTIVES
1. To update the windows version of Bookstore Manager from character based screens to graphical screens, incorporating the graphical capabilities of Windows, while at the same time offering compatibility and consistency of functions for our DOS and UNIX users.
2. To become year 2000 compliant.
3. To allow for a 13-character field for inventory item numbers.
4. To create a consistent user interface.
5. To move in a direction that will allow Bookstore Manager to incorporate third party products, such as Internet browsers, image viewers, graphics, etc.
6. A simpler way of cascading electronic orders.
7. Incorporation of various and sundry enhancements which will be detailed in this document.
