MLUL #1 = Combine (2) Lists (Multi Store Only)
Enter Store to Read

Each store has its own Mailing List. The file is in the Book directory under the name "NAMES.00?" Where "?" is the store number. From time to time you may wish to consolidate them into one list, and then replace each individual list with the consolidated one. Here's how to do it:
A. At Store # 2,3,4, etc: Copy "NAMES.00?" to Floppy (Where "?" is store 2, 3, 4, etc.)
Or, you may backup Store #2 files and take the tape to Store #1.
B. Also, at Store # 2,3,4, etc: Copy TRAKCOMB.00? if you want to include the tracking information.
Or, you may backup Store #2 files and take the tape to Store #1.
Note: You will need to delete the tracking information in Store #2 after it is transferred to Store #1 so that
the information will not be duplicated on subsequent transfers. See "F" below.
C. At Store #1: Restore the file(s) copied by instruction "a"/"b" above to the BOOK directory on Store #1's hard drive.
Or, you may restore the file(s) from the backup. BSMGR has batch files to restore Store #2s files:
RTNAMES2 and RTTRAK2
If you do not have these files, call BSMGR. Other batch files will have to be set up to restore the other stores files.
D. At Store #1: At the BSMGR select option prompt, type "MLUL". Choose #1 = Combine (2) Mailing Lists.
Enter Store to Read from: __ - Enter the Store # to be combined with Store #1.
Enter Store to Write to: __ - Enter Store #1.
All Ok? Y/N __ -
"Y" will combine the two lists into "NAMES.001".
"N" will exit the program..
E. At Store #1: At the BSMGR select option prompt, "MLUL". Choose #5 = Combine Tracking.
Enter Store to Read from: __ - Enter the Store # to be combined with Store #1.
Enter Store to Write to: __ - Enter Store #1.
All Ok? Y/N __ -
"Y" will combine the tracking into TRACKCOMB.001.
"N" will exit the program.
F. At Store #2,3,4,etc: Delete the file TRAKCOMB.00? if you are taking the tracking information to Store #1.
Or, run the BSMGR batch file DELTRAK2 to delete the file at Store #2. If you do not have the batch file, call BSMGR. Other batch files will have to be set up to delete the other stores files.
G. At Store #2,3,4,etc: If you desire to copy the consolidated names file, then do the following:
1. At Store #1: Copy the file "NAMES.001" to tape or floppy.
Or, make a backup of Store #1s files.
2. At Store # 2,3,4, etc: Restore the file "NAMES.001" into the "Book" directory.
Or, you may restore the file from Store #1s backup tape. BSMGR has a batch file to restore the file needed: RTNAMES1 If you do not have this file, call BSMGR.
3. Delete the stores current mailing list
DOS Example:
DEL \BOOK\NAMES.00?
Where "?" is the current store # (2,3,4 etc.)UNIX Example:
rm /bsmgr/book/NAMES.00?
Where "?" is the current store # (2,3,4 etc.)Note: If you are using the batch file to rename the files (#4), you do not have to delete the file. The batch file will delete it.
4. Rename the consolidated Mailing list file to the appropriate name:
DOS Example:
REN \BOOK\NAMES.001 \BOOK\NAMES.00?UNIX Example:
mv /bsmgr/book/NAMES.001 /bsmgr/book/NAMES.00?Or, run the BSMGR batch file: RNNAME12 If you do not have this batch file, call BSMGR. Other batch files will have to be set up to rename the other stores files..
H. You may also take the consolidated tracking information back to Store #2,3,4, etc. by following instructions in "G" using the file TRACKCOMB.00? There are no batch files written for the tracking information.
MLUL #2 = Change an Area Code

Enter the New Area Code and press <Enter>.
Enter prefixes for this Area Code, up to ten prefixes.
All Ok? Y/N/C __:
"Y" will accept information.
"N" will allow you to change information>
"C" will cancel the program.
MLUL #3= History Roll
Now Rolling Mail History |
This option moves current purchase totals and current transactions to last year purchase/transactions totals. Total purchases/transactions are not affected.
MLUL #4 = Purge Tracking Detail
Purge and Sort the Inventory Tracking list Enter Oldest Tracking Day to keep on File: [MMDDYY ] Caution: This will

Enter the Oldest Tracking day to keep on File: [MMDDYY ]. This will permanently remove all tracking records before the date entered.
ALL OK? __:
"Y" will run the program and delete the information.
"N" will exit the program.
You may also press <Esc> to exit the program.

"Y" will run the program and delete the information.
"N" will exit the program.
The number of records deleted will display to screen.
MLUL #5 = Combine Tracking (Multi Store Only)

This program allows you to combine the tracking information from one store to another. The following instructions show how to combine the tracking from store #2, #3, #4, etc. with store #1. The information from store #2, #3, #4, etc. has to copied onto store #1 before this program is run. (See MLUL option #1, above.)

"Y" will combine the tracking into TRACKCOMB.001.
"N" will exit the program.
MLUL #6 = Clear Coupon Amounts
Gives the Option: All OK Y/N
Y - Will clear all coupon amount from mailing list customers.
N - Will not clear and exit the program.
