ARUL – ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE UTILITIES

To open ARUL, enter <ARUL>in the "Enter Program Name" field and press <Enter>.

 

Delete Unposted A/R Transaction

This option is used to clear the charges/credits/payments entered at the Point of Sale that you do not wish to be posted to the Accounts Receivable accounts when the SLAR program, "Post all Entries" option is run.

After entering the supervisory password to gain access, enter the "Account #" of the transaction you want to unpost and select OK.

Highlight the transaction you wish to delete and select Delete.  Select "Yes" at the "Are you sure you want to delete reference #xxxxxxxx?" message to delete the transaction.  The transaction will still print on the SLAR report, described as "ARUL-Deleted," so you will have an audit trail.

Clear A/R Transaction File

This option is used mainly to clear out the Accounts Receivable training done at Point of Sale before starting to ring up actual sales transactions.

Enter the supervisory password and select "Yes" at the "Are you sure you want to empty the A/R transaction file." message to clear the file.

Change all BFWD Accounts to Open Item

Enter the supervisory password and select “Yes” at the “Are you sure you wish to make all your accounts Open Item accounts?” message to change all Balance Forward accounts to Open Item accounts.

Change 1 BFWD Account to Open Item

After entering the supervisory password to gain access, enter the “Account #” of the account you wish to change from a Balance Forward account to an Open Item account and seleck OK.

Change all Open Item Accounts to BFWD

Enter the supervisory password and select “Yes” at the “Are you sure you wish to make all your accounts Balance Forward accounts?” message to change all Open Item accounts to Balance Forward accounts.

Change 1 Open Item Account to BFWD

After entering the supervisory password to gain access, enter the “Account #” of the account you wish to change from an Open Item accoun to a Balance Forward account and select OK.

Merge 2 Accounts Transfering Account History

Enter the “merge from” account number and the “merge to” account number.  Then select “Merge” to consolidate the two accounts, along with account history, into one account.

 

Change Account Number

This option gives you the capability of changing an Accounts Receivable account number and history.
