Mailing List Labels, Masterfile Report, ASCII File, & Duplicates in Mailing List
To print labels, masterfile reports, send to an ASCII file, or print duplicate addresses: type MLP and press <Enter>. You will have three options:
1=Regular - Skip the Inventory Tracking Routine.
2=Tracking - Must have purchased certain item.
3=Duplicates - Those with duplicate addresses.
Regular Labels, Reports, & ASCII File
These labels, reports, or ASCII file will not be limited by the Tracking Routine. You will be given the option of a title line. Example: Music Director. You may include the customer types for which you wish to print labels (Blank means all customers), or you may exclude customer types (Blank means none excluded). The customer types are the ones you have entered on MLM as customer type. This could be a "C" for churches, "I" for individuals, "V" for video rental customers, any other customer types you have set up, or any of the sales group numbers you have set up in SYS Config File #3 = Change 24 Cash Register Depts. You may choose to exclude any customer types or leave blank. You may choose customers by their activity dates or leave blank. You can choose beginning and ending zip codes to print. You may limit the labels to only the customers who spent over the dollar amount that you choose and the categories of items purchased. You may limit the period covered to current, last year, or total amount spent. You may also limit labels for customers by their set up date. You may choose to print (L)abels, (R)eport, or (A)SCII file. "L" will print labels, "R" will print the mailing list masterfile. You have option of printing a one or two line report., "A" will print the list to a file called NAMES.ASC in the BOOK directory. You may then copy the file to a diskette to send to mailing service. Choose whether to print in (A)lpha or (Z)ip code order. Press <F1> to Continue and you will have the option to "P" print, or "Q" quit without printing. After choosing "P" for print, you may discontinue printing by pressing <ESC>. Some printing may still be in the printer, so you may need to turn off the power to your printer to kill the spooler. The number of labels pulled will be displayed. SLTP = Print Receipt Tapes must be run for sales activity at the Point of Sale to be on the labels.
Tracking Labels, Reports, & ASCII File
These labels, reports, or ASCII file will be limited by items you are tracking or have sold on a promotional #. You may enter the ISBN numbers, Authors, or Promotional # of items you are tracking. May be limited to items sold since a certain date. You may enter up to twenty ISBN numbers and up to ten authors or promotion #s. (If you have not entered the authors name in a consistent manner, you may need to enter all variations of the authors name as you might have entered on the inventory records.) When you have entered All OK? "Y", a message will come up telling you there are three sort phases to go through and what sort phase it is doing. When the sort phases are finished, you will go to the screen where you choose which customers you want to include, exclude, etc. See A. Regular Labels, Reports, & ASCII File above.
