Enter Video Departments and Terms - SYS
- Go to your SYS Config File and choose # 3 = Change 24 Cash Register Depts. The Department Key for Video Rental/Returns may be set on any department except Departements 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 10, because at the Point of Sale, the keys for these Departments are also used for other programs while ringing up a transaction. Set up a Video Rental/Return Department, making sure you enter a "V" in the "Msc"column. Be sure to (S)ave after you press <Esc> to exit out.
- Go to your SYS Config File and choose # 4 = Change 25 Video Depts. Enter any Video Departments you need. Be sure to (S)ave after you press <Esc> to exit out.
Set up your video terms to be printed on the ticket when a video is rented. Go to your SYS Config File and choose # 5 = Change Misc. Configuration and go to line 309 = Print Video Terms. Enter a "Y" if you want the terms to be printed, and a window will be displayed where you may enter your video terms. There are four lines you may use. You might use the first two lines for your terms and use the next two lines to ask for Name, Address or Telephone number.
