CONFIRMATION TO RUN PROGRAM(S)

Note: Some programs in BSMGR require a Supervisory passcode and others require a Secondary Passcode. You must know the passcodes to run the programs. Other programs do not require a passcode. "Confirm" is designed to prevent users from accidentally running certain close-out and update programs that do not require a passcode to run.

Note: "Confirm" will Not be active on programs that are called from the Menu Bar.

Specific programs may be set up to "Confirm" whether or not the user should be running the programs.

Edit the file CONFIRM.

At a select option prompt in BSMGR, type in EDIT <Enter>. A window will be displayed.

File Input Enter Name:__

Enter the name CONFIRM <Enter>.

The first line entered in this file will be the "Confirmation" that will be entered to run the programs that will be listed on the following lines in the file. You may want to use "OK" or something like that for the confirmation. If the first line is a program, that program would be the confirmation.

Enter the programs that will need a confirmation for the employee to run, such as IVHR, APHU, ARHU, etc. Enter ONE program to a line in CAPITAL LETTERS. You may enter any program that will need a confirmation to run. The programs that have a password to run, will not need a confirmation. You may enter up to 20 programs.

Press <F7> to Insert a Line.

Press <F8> to Delete a Line.

Press <F4> for Options and (S)ave.

Go out of BSMGR and back in at each work station to make active.

When a program is entered that is in the CONFIRM file, a window will be displayed where you will enter the confirmation before you may run the program.
