Note: The Price Updates are optional programs. There is a monthly charge if you subscribe to this program. Diskettes with the price increases and new items will be sent at least ten times a year. Install the diskette as per your instructions on the diskette.
Note: After you have installed the diskette for the price updates, you will need to run this program for the new prices to be reflected on your inventory. You MUST have your report printer turned on to run this program. You will get a report of all items on your inventory masterfile that has increased or decreased in price. The price increases will automatically change the retail price on your inventory. The price decreases will be noted on the printout with three asterisks to the right of the item number. The retail price on your inventory will NOT be lowered on price decreases.
After choosing option #1, you are asked, "Delete Items dropped by all distributors? Y/N _. "Y" will delete all items from BSMGR database that are no longer carried by any distributor. "N" will not delete the items.
Then you are asked, "Do you wish to create new Key Word Lookup Files? Y/N _. The key word lookup takes up to 3 hours....." "Y" will create new key word lookup files in BSMGR Database and in your stores inventory. "N" will not create new key word lookup files. You may do this at a later time by running the program IVUL #13.
The processing is displayed on the screen.
Note: After you have run the Price Update, you may print labels for all items that have gone up in price by going into IVL #5 Print the Labels.
Note: The Price Update can only be run once. The file is deleted after "IVUP" is run.
Note: On a quarterly basis, along with the monthly Price Update, you will receive the new distributor information indicating any changes as to which distributors are stocking the items in the inventory database.
You must receive a disk from Ingram to update the Ingram Database. After installing the disk, run this option to update the Ingram Database.
