IVI - To check an item that is on your inventory
Type in IVI and you may bring up an item on your inventory by Title, Author, Category, Word, or Item Number. Tab to go from one field to another. (Word is a word search of titles with that word in the title.) A list of inventory items will be displayed in the order that you selected. Highlight an item and press <Enter> and the maintenance screen for that item will be displayed. You may edit or delete the item from your inventory from this screen.
IVT - To check on inventory totals
This program will display a Statistics screen of your inventory. This statistics report gives you the quantity of items you have in stock, the quantity already on order, the quantity that needs to be ordered, the number of special orders that need to be ordered; all with their retail value. The report shows the number of items not priced, LIFO at Cost, FIFO at Cost, and/or Average Cost at Cost according to how it is set up in the SYStem Config file, #5, Line 701. The report also provides the retail value of all items broken down into departments. If you want a print-out of this statistics report press <F2>. If you have set up your budget on the SYStem Config File #6 Change Open to Buy Levels, the print-out will tell you the amount you are open to buy for each department. The print out will also give you the retail value of items in each category and sales history per current month to date, quarterly, and for the year.
IVDI - To check on items in the data base
Type in IVDI and choose (1) BSMGR Database, (2) Bible Search, (3) Song Finder, (3) Ingram, only if you have obtained Ingram Database, or (4) CD ROM, not active at this time.
(1) BSMGR Database - You may look up items by Title, Author, Category, Item #, or Word. (Word, will search the database for titles with the word entered.) Choose the way you wish to look up an item. Enter the information, press <Enter>. A list of items found within the parameters entered will be displayed. The title, item #, author, binding, subject, returnable, publisher, category you have assigned if in your inventory, publish date, retail price, discount, and amount on hand if in your inventory will be shown. You may <arrow up/down>, <page up/down>, <Enter> for IVM inventory maintenance if item is on your inventory, <F1> to place special order for the item, <F2> to see the warehouse where available, <F3> to add to your inventory, <F4> for additional product information on music and Bibles; on music, pressing <F4> again will give you a list of songs; pressing <F1> will let you place a special order; <Esc> will take you back to list of items: on Bibles, you may press <F1> to order or <Esc> will take you back to list of items, <F6> will tell you the full name for the subject abbreviation, <F7> will allow you to Change or Delete, <F8> to record lost sales, and <Esc> will exit back to the look up options. <Esc> again will take you back to the database options. And <Esc> again will exit the program.
(2) Bible Search - You may search the database for Bibles for which you have chosen: translation, color, binding, and keywords. Press <F2> for help in choosing keywords. Press <F1> for option of price limitation minimum / maximum. The database will be searched for Bibles in the parameters chosen and displayed to the screen. The title, item #, author, binding, subject, returnable, publisher, category you have assigned if in your inventory, publish date, retail price, discount, and amount on hand if in your inventory will be shown. You may <arrow up/down>, <page up/down>, <Enter> for IVM inventory maintenance if item is on your inventory, <F1> to place special order for the item, <F2> to see the warehouse where available, <F3> to add to your inventory, <F4> for additional product information; from this screen <F1> will let you place a special order or <Esc> will take you back to list of items; <F6> will tell you the full name for the subject abbreviation, <F7> will allow you to Change or Delete, and <Esc> will exit back to the look up options. <Esc> again will take you back to the database options. And <Esc> again will exit the program.
(3) Song Finder - You may search the database for song titles found on different cassettes and CDs. Enter the complete song title or a portion of the title with an asterisk, and the database will be searched for the title. If you enter the title without an asterisk, the database will search for an identical match. If you enter a portion of the title with an asterisk, it will look for titles starting with the words entered without knowing the rest of the title. (To look up the title of cassettes or CDs, use BSMGR Database.) A list of cassettes and CDs that have the song on them will be displayed. The title, item #, author, binding, subject, returnable, publisher, category you have assigned if in your inventory, publish date, retail price, discount, and amount on hand if in your inventory will be shown.
