Printing Price/Barcode Labels - IVL

This program prints price/barcode labels that you can place on the product. The label includes a bar code, item number, title, date label printed, category, price, author, publisher number, and your choice of: catalog number, alternate category, sale price, miscellaneous field, invoice number, the two prices, or the location. The choice is made in the SYStem Config File, #5 Misc Configurations, line 300. For labels to be printed a "Y" must be entered on the individual items in "IVM", labels field. For bar codes to be printed "BAR" must be entered in your system configuration file under miscellaneous configurations line number 204. Also enter the following that applies to your system.

Dot Matrix: SYStem Config, line #501, enter IVBC

DOS :

Laser printers: SYStem Config, line #501, enter BARCODE.EXE

SYStem Environment, insert line that reads

BARCODE-OUT 4 0 5 LPT2

Windows 95:

Laser Printers: SYStem Config, line #501, enter START /W BARCODE.EXE

SYStem Environment, inset line that reads

BARCODE-OUT 4 0 5 LPT2

UNIX:

Laser printers: SYStem Config, line #501, enter BARCODE

SYStem Environment, insert line that reads

BARCODE-OUT 4 0 5 /dev/lp

One of the following values may be substituted for the 4 in the BARCODE-OUT line:

0 = PostScript Laser Printer (Must be a Postscript printer)

3 = HP LaserJet 150 dpi with macro

4 = HP LaserJet 300 dpi with macro

9 = HP LaserJet 150 dpi no macro

10 = HP LaserJet 300 dpi no macro

Note: HP LaserJet with macro works faster than no macro, However, some no macro HP LaserJet printers may need to be 10.

The above 0 is a variable from 0 - 19. This number tells the printer how far down on the page to start printing. LPT2 and /dev/lp = names of the printers
