Set Your Company Header - GLM

You will need to set your General Ledger Header Account up by typing in GLM and choosing #2 Change and entering department # 00 and account # 0000. If not on file, go to Option #1, and enter the same information. Type in your Company name, then you will need to enter the last period completed in the general ledger you have been using. (The last period completed for the beginning balances you will enter.) If you are on a yearly (from January to December) fiscal year and have completed the month of March, then you would enter 03. The Current period date is the last day of the last completed period. If the last completed period was the month of March, then the date would be 03-31-97. The general ledger account numbers for current year earning and the retained year earnings are already set up.

If you are multi-store, choose Option #1, and enter 01 for the department and 0000 for the account number. Then enter the name of Store #1. Do the same for each store, entering 02, 03, etc. for the department and 0000 for the account number.
