EDIT - FILE EDITOR

 To open EDIT, press <Alt M> ("Menu") and follow the Menu path illustrated below, then press <Enter>, or simply enter <EDIT> in the "Enter Program Name" field and press <Enter>.

 

 

Note:   This is a 600-line text editor.  (You will lose anything over 600 lines.)  The main purpose of EDIT is for changing any text file that is under 600 lines.

Enter the name of the file you want to create or edit, and select OK.  The file you want to edit will be brought to the screen, or if you are creating a new file, the file will be blank.

·        You may press <Page Up> or <Page Down> to see information in the file.

·        You may also use the arrow keys to go to a certain line and character.

·        Press <Enter>, and a blank line will be inserted above the line the cursor is on.

·        Press <Del> and whatever you have highlighted will be deleted.

Enter the information or changes, and select F5=Options to Save or Print.
