Create a Blank P.O. #

• Enter your proposed purchase order number.  The number must be numeric and ten digits.

Note:   Normally the purchase order number is assigned automatically, using the date (YYMMDD), the three digit vendor number, and a one-digit number (1-9) or letter (A,B,C, etc.) for the order number of the day.

(Example:   98  02  21  012  1 = 9802210121)

By using "Create a Blank P.O.#," you can create a purchase order number of your choice, not being limited to the current date.

Up to 35 purchase orders for a particular vendor may be made in one day. 

• Select OK, and when the purchase order number is created, "Successful creation of P.O." will be displayed.  Select OK to return to the IVO options.

• You must then go into "View/Change an Existing P.O." and enter the items on the order.
