IVE - MANUAL INVENTORY ENTRY

To open IVE, press <Alt M> ("Menu") and follow the Menu path illustrated below, then press <Enter>, or simply enter <IVE> in the "Enter Program Name" field and press <Enter>.

Note:    This program is seldom used, because sales are automatically taken out of inventory as items are sold.

Sold (-) - Decreases the on-hand amount of the item. Used for when an item is sold from the store.

Customer Return (+) - Increases the on-hand amount of the item. Used for when and item is returned to the store.

Defective (-) - Decreases the on-hand amount of the item. Used for when the item is defective and being taken out of inventory.

Shortage (-) - Decreases the on-hand amount of the item. Used for when the on-hand is discovered to be too high and there is a shortage of the item.

Overage (+) - Increases the on-hand amount of the item. Used for when the there are more of the item in the store than the on-hand shows.

Mis-count (+) - Increases the on-hand amount of the item. Is used when there is a miscount on inventory.

Donation (-) - Decreases the on-hand amount of the item. Is used when store wants to donate an item

***      ALL ROUTINES ARE EXECUTED THE SAME WAY.  INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE GIVEN FOR THE ON HAND ADJS. ROUTINE ONLY.

Enter item number.  The title will be displayed.

The adjustment quantity will default to (1).  It may be overwritten.

The reason will default to Shortage.  Select the appropriate reason for the change. 

Enter the initials of the employee making the change. 

The date will default to the current date.   It may be overwritten.  

Select Save, and the cursor will return to the “Item” field for the next entry.
