Transfer All Entries to G/L

Everything in the A/P Journal will be transferred to the General Ledger.

At the "You are about to post A/P Journal to account period XX" message,  select OK.  An audit trail will be printed.  The printed report looks somewhat different than that printed to the screen; for example, a batch number will print at the top of the report, and a number representing the date and vendor account number will print following the description.

Transfer Entries By Date

You may transfer entries by date.

Enter the beginning and the ending dates you want transferred and select OK.

GLAP enters accounts payable information into the General Ledger.  Be sure that all information pertaining to the month you are closing is in the General Ledger before you close out the month.

The A/P Journal file is the holding file for all transactions that occur in the APE ("Invoice Entry"), APDD ("Pay By Due Date"), APBI ("Pay By Invoice"), APRE ("Post Recurring Entries") and APCP ("Print Checks") programs.  This file will continue to build until you run the GLAP program.  When you run the GLAP program, the A/P Journal information will be transferred to the General Ledger transaction file in the way that is chosen.
