Technical Support: Windows Task Scheduler Setup


You will need to follow these directions on your server.  Be sure to follow the directions for your operating system.

  Note:  If you need help please call and Schedule a time with support to help you with this.  Setting up the scheduler will not be a normal support call and will be by appointment only.        


Windows 98

1.      Double click on System Agent  located on your Task Bar.

 

 

2.      Double click on Add Scheduled Task

.

3.      The Task Wizard will appear.  Choose Next

4.      The Task Wizard will list some applications.  Choose Browse

5.      At the File Name prompt enter it in:  C:\ACU\Wrun32.exe – Click Ok

6.      It will then ask for the name of the scheduled task, enter in: BSMGR Schedule

7.      Under Perform this task: choose Daily

8.      Choose Next

9.      Start Time: 11:59 PM

10.  Perform this task: Everyday

11.  Choose Next

12.  Check Open advanced properties…                                                         

13.  Choose Finish 

             14.  Add Schedule to the Run line and Choose OK

 

Windows NT

1.      Log on as Administrator

2.      Double click on My Computer

3.      Double click on Scheduled Tasks

4.      Double click on Add Scheduled Task

5.      Follow Windows 98 directions        (Starting with # 3)

6.      Blank out passwords and Choose OK

Windows 2000 Pro

1.      Log on as Administration

2.      Click on Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Scheduled Tasks

3.      Double click on Add Scheduled Task

4.      Follow Windows 98 directions        (Starting with # 3)

5.     Choose to run as "Aministrator"  and supply Adminstrator's password
  (Be sure  you can connect to the Internet automatically when logged in as administrator.)
